How to Get to the Galapagos
You can fly internationally into Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO) in Quito or José JoaquÃn de Olmedo International Airport (GYE) in Guayaquil, both in Ecuador. Once testing requirements are satisfied (see below) you can fly to San Cristobal (SCY) or Isla Baltra (GPS), depending on where the liveaboard departs. Daily airline transfers are available from Guayaquil to both locations, with an easy transfer flight from Quito available (stay on the same plane).
What You Need to Know About Travel to Galapagos
Two COVID tests will be required, a PCR test 7 days before you fly to Ecuador, and a second COVID test administered when you land at the airport. You will be charged around $120 USD for this second test. You must then stay at your hotel in Quito or Guayaquil for 48 hours or until the test results come back, at which point you can continue on to the Galapagos.
Note that this is different to the 14-day quarantine required for visiting the rest of Ecuador. You will also need proof of travel medical insurance, and a "safe passage" document issued by your tour company, to board the flight to the Galapagos.
