When you think of diving destinations, Antarctica probably isn't the first place that comes to mind. However, for experienced cold water divers, it is difficult to imagine a more thrilling location than the southernmost continent. Making the long trek to Antarctica with the appropriate dive gear in tow can lead to an unforgettable underwater experience.


It is not for the faint hearted or warm water divers, but there are plenty of interesting marine life encounters waiting in Antarctica's frigid waters, from apex predator leopard seals to the adorable penguins they feed on. And if dusting snow off your equipment doesn't appeal to you, Antarctica has plenty of other activities on offer.


Some of the exciting topside activities during a trip to Antarctica that shouldn't be missed include land excursions to trek impressive glaciers and explore the variety of polar land animals including endemic birds and a variety of species of penguins and seals.
